READ IN: September

September’s been a slow reading month for me, just considering how long it took me to read some of the books I managed to squeeze in here and there. I must say I haven’t had this many awesome books in a monthly wrap-up post in a long time tho, so I’m super excited to share my ratings!

Aaaand Book of the Month naturally goes to Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater, although Barry Lyga‘s Game definitely came in a close second, and since I don’t own my physical copy of Blue Lily, Lily Blue, a picture of Game had to do.

TEASER TUESDAY (#11): Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Should Be Reading, and my pick for the week is one of many, many magical and incredible quotes from Maggie Stiefvater‘s third The Raven Cycle book Blue Lily, Lily Blue, which I (of course) absolutely ADORED. Here’s one of my (many, many) favourite two lines from that magic carpet ride! Ha! But alas, first a quick reminder about the Teaser Tuesday rules:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two “teaser” sentences from that page
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists!

So, I decided to put a little twist on Tynga’s Reviews weekly Stacking The Shelves feature. Instead of weekly, I’ll be doing a monthly book haul post titled Stacked In. My book shopping is so incredibly mercurial (I can buy 20 books in 1 week, and none in the next) that this seems to be the best of resolutions. So, without much further ado, here are the books I bought in August! 🙂

On the Left:
Chopsticks by Jessica Anthony & Rodrigo Corral, Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods by Rick Riordan

On the Right:
Between the Spark and the Burn by April Genevieve Tucholke, Through to You / Right of Way / Aces Up by Lauren Barnholdt, Opposition by Jennifer L. Armentrout,  Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins,  The Golden Lily / The Indigo Spell / The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead, Every Day by David Levithan, Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, Dead Poets Society by N.H.
