Meh, I’ve been suffocated with uni work this week (mostly rereading The Silmarillion by Tolkien for class) so I have been slacking in adding more reviews. There’s one coming tomorrow though, but so long, here’s this week’s pick for Waiting on Wednesday, the very amazing weekly feature hosted by Breaking the Spine!
I am absoluetly bursting with anticipation over E. Lockhart‘s upcoming book We Were Liars, which comes out May 13th through Delacorte Press. There has been incredible hype over this release with its author refusing to reveal a whole lot of information about the plot, Lockhart even going so far as to ask all of her readers to just go with the little pieces of information that have been revealed and not give away anything in reviews or the kind. Naturally, I am dying to get my hands on this one! I love going into books without a lot of preconceived ideas or expectations, so this will be the book for me!
A beautiful and distinguished family. A private island. A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy. A group of four friends—the Liars—whose friendship turns destructive. A revolution. An accident. A secret. Lies upon lies. True love. The truth.
We Were Liars is a modern, sophisticated suspense novel from National Book Award finalist and Printz Award honoree E. Lockhart.
And if anyone asks you how it ends, just LIE.
